WESLEY'S GOT TALENT

The Wesley College PTA was delighted to support the very successful inaugural Wesley’s Got Talent held on 4th May. The PTA provided the prizes for the event run in aid of Habitat for Humanity. The TY Habitat team and their teachers worked very hard to stage this event. They were ably assisted by the judges Ms. McKeon, Mr. O’Brien and Mr. Delany who provided very entertaining feed back to the ten acts who took part. It was great to see the talented students taking part, there were participants from preps to 6th year. The standard was extremely high.

There was a special performance by some of the Wesley College teachers when they did a very entertaining Lyp Sinc battle. The male teachers Spice Girl Act just marginally beat the female teachers Back Street Boys performance, only just though!

The prize winners of the Wesely Got Talent were

1st place: Idanesi Momoh & Rebecca Lawlor

                         2nd place: Daniel Smith

                        3rd place: Finian Duff-Lennon

The Big Build Race Day

After months of planning the day finally arrived ! The sun was shining and there was a spring in all our steps.
465 Wesley College parents, teachers, family members past and present joined us there. Everyone had a great day - delicious lunch, exciting racing and we were well entertained with a few surprises along the way!
Feedback has been really positive, in fact people are already asking about next year's race day !!
A great social event that raised a large amount of money for Project 2018 - winner alright !

INTRODUCTION

The Wesley College Parent Teacher Association aims to advance the education and welfare of pupils, promoting co-operation and communication between the management of the college, parents and staff.  and assisting with social, educational and other activities for the Wesley community.

We represent the interests of parents of day and boarder pupils at the school and provide input to the formulation and implementation of school policies. All parents are members of the association, which is run by an elected committee. The operation of the association is governed by a constitution, which may be viewed and downloaded at WCDPTA Constitution

The association is funded primarily through a contribution collected from parents through the college's normal fee invoicing. These funds, together with those raised through some of the activities which the PTA runs, are used in fulfilling the aims of the association.
