Welcome to the Project 2018 homepage
Project 2018 is a new build and renewal initiative which will upgrade the campus of Wesley College Dublin, specifically the refurbishment of our Sports Hall, Gym and the building of a new classroom block and building which will link all of the facilities together. This section of our website will keep you up to date and informed as the project develops with regular updates of progress on site. It will also keep you informed of how you can help Project 2018 and detail any events related to the new build. Check back regularly for new live blog updates, photo albums, drone and time-lapse videos and much more.

- Site clearance
This work shall consist of the removal of prefabs and satisfactory disposal fences, structures, abandoned pipelines, and any other obstruction which are not designated or permitted to remain. It shall also include the salvaging of designated materials and backfilling the resulting trenches. Contract signed/Contractor appointed – is the formal appointment of the builder to the job. The “mobilisation” will then follow.
Contractor arrives on site
This will begin with the erection of site fencing & hoarding, the delivery & set-up of site huts & facilities, and the clearing of routes from the car park through the farm.
Excavation & strip-out
Demolition works will then follow.
This marks the completion of the works up to ground floor slab level – foundations, rising walls, lift pits, underground services, insulated floor slabs
Completion of the building envelope – columns, floors, stairs, roofs, block & brick work, windows & external doors
- Internal works
Internal finishes completion
To include lifts & mechanical & electrical services installation completion; plastering, painting & decorating, floor finishes; internal doors, changing room fit-out, ceilings, balustrades, window boards
- External works
External works completion
Completion of drainage, retaining walls, kerbing/paving, hard & sort landscaping, tiered seating, external lighting
Client takes possession of building. At this point building will have been cleaned by builder, demonstrations of mech & elec will have taken place, finishing items such as signage will be in place, building will be ready for client furniture & equipment.
