Boys Hockey 

Congratulations to all the boys that were in action on Friday in a mixture of leagues and friendlies, producing some outstanding results. The U-14 B's won their opening game of the league against Newpark A's 2-1.  Check out all the photos from their match here. The Junior A boys who won their friendly against St. Killian's 4-1, with goals from Max Collins, Josh Evers and two from Craig MacKay. The U-14 A's beat the High School 3-0 while the U-13 A's won their match against St. Killian's.

The Senior 1st travelled to Cork yesterday to play their second match in the Whiteside Trophy against Bandon, which they won 4-1 maintaining their position at the top of the league. They also beat Newtown in a friendly on the way back home. Congratulations to all the team and coaching staff that travelled to Munster. 

Girls Hockey 

The Junior B's drew their first match of the league against Alex on Saturday 0-0, despite a slow start the girls put in an impressive performance with a strong defence, but were unfortunate to not score a goal. Also in action in a number of friendlies, the Senior 3's won 3-1 against Jesus and Mary College and the Minor C's lost against the same opposition. The Senior 1st drew with Andrews while the First-year girls produced some impressive results against them, the A's winning 6-0, D's won 3-2, the C's drew 2-2 and the B's lost 4-0. The Minor A's played Newpark, producing a 4-0 win with a hat trick for Sinead O'Grady.  

The First-year girls produced another strong win yesterday against Temple Carrig, with all teams winning their games.  Well done to the A, B, C and D teams. The Senior 2's played their opening match of the league against St. Andrews and after an exciting first half with one a piece St. Andrews managed to get another one through just before half time. The second half remained scoreless. Hard luck to the girls. The Junior A's were also up against St. Andrews which they lost 1-0. Good luck to them for their opening cup match the Saturday in Wesley at 10am.  

Rugby 

Hard luck to the SCT who lost their first league match of the season against Gonzaga 19-7 and also to the Senior 2nds who lost against the same opposition. The JCT were unlucky to lose 10-5 against Gonzaga in their first league match also. Hard luck to the Under 15 A's who lost 40-38 in a great game against Presentation Bray. Well done to the Under 15 B's who beat Presentation Bray comfortably.
