Sports Update
The first year girls and boys had great fun during their blitzes on Saturday morning in front on hundreds of parents and guardians as part of the first year PTA coffee morning. A great time was had by all and you can check out photos and video of the events here!
Boys Hockey
Congratulations to the Senior 1st XI who started their league with a 2-1 win against Ashton. Wesley maintained the majority of possession, with goals from Gavin Quill and Joshua Greaney. Congratulations also to the double act of Matthew Walker and Robert McCollum who have been appointed captain and vice-captain respectively.
Good luck to the Junior B team who kick off their league this Friday.
Girls Hockey
Congratulations to the Senior Girls who had a convincing win against Mount Anville on Saturday in the opening round on the league. The final score was 4-1 with goals from Jessica, Lara, Lynne and Gemma. It really was a fantastic team performance.
There was a number of other teams playing Mount Anville in friendlies, with the following results. For the Minor the A's drew 1-1 and then the B's and C's lost 4-0 and 1-0 respectively. All five Junior teams were out, the A's recorded a 1-1 draw, B's and C's lost 4-0 and 3-0 respectively, the D's won 2-0 and E's recorded a 0-0 draw. The Senior 2's and 3's were defeated by two stronger sides.
Show Jumping
Well done to the show jumpers who were competing at Boswell at the weekend. Tilly Shaw, Holly Micklem, Alanna Doherty and Aoife Sutton all jumped clear rounds and picked up points for 4th in the Open Team competition. Congratulations to Peter Walker who made his debut in the Novice individual category.
