CRICKET

Congratulations to the 2nd year B boys who beat St Gerards by 9 wickets last week. A special mention to Kafu Momoh who took 4 wickets.

The Senior 1st boys beat Blackrock last Wednesday by 7 wickets in the quarter final with Max Collins taking 7 wickets for only 12 runs. Photos from that match are available here. They then played St Andrews on Friday in the semi-final. Despite our good efforts batting, St Andrews proved the stronger side on the day and were able to reach our runs. Congratulations to the team for reaching that level of the competition.

The Junior A boys played Belvedere on Thursday. They managed to come back from a slow start to win by 6 wickets with Max Collins making 32 runs and Jack Atkinson reaching 20 not out. They then played Blackrock in the semi-final. Blackrock were bowled out for 77 with Scott Ruttle getting 5 wickets and Max Collins 3. We then replied cutting it very tight with 5 runs needed with only one batsman left. Well done to the boys for securing their place in the final by just one wicket, with a special mention to Euan Walsh who hit the winning runs, finishing on 7 not out. Photos from the semi-final are available here. Best of luck to the team in their final on Thursday.

Well done to the show jumping team who travelled to the International in Balmoral last weekend. Tilly Shaw, Pippa Durham, Holly Micklem and Sam Micklem all contributed to a fine result finishing 4th and best of the teams from the Republic of Ireland.
