All pupils take Irish, English, Mathematics, French/German, History, Geography, Science, Art, Religious Education, Physical Education and Musicianship.

The Junior Certificate
The three year Junior Cycle leads to the Junior Certificate examination at the end of 3rd Year.
CORE SUBJECTS - Irish, English, Mathematics, a Modern Language (French, German or Spanish), Science, History, Geography, Religious Education, CSPE (Civic, Social and Political Education) SPHE (Social, Personal and Health Education) and Physical Education. Musicianship is also a core subject in 1st Year.
OPTION SUBJECTS - Pupils select two subjects from the following: Art; Business Studies; Home Economics; Music; Classical Studies; Materials Technology (Wood), Technology, and Technical Graphics.
