Athletics
Training for athletics takes place 3 times a week during the summer term.
The programme is split between Track and Field events with specialist coaching given to individuals and year groups on specific training days throughout the week. Junior athletics (1st – 3rd Year) is encouraged for all students to attend and develop basic athletic understanding.
With a 1500m cross-country track, school grass running track, allocated throwing circle and sand jumping pit, outdoor facilities are supplemented by the fitness suit and indoor facilities in the sports building.
The school compete in various athletic meets during the term, usually attaining honours at the East Leinster meeting in Santry and progressing to the Leinster athletics meet in May each year.

The school also provide a running club which compete in numerous cross-country competitions in terms 1 & 2, with our Senior girls team winning the all-Ireland cross country in 2018, who went on to represent Ireland in the World Cross-country championships held in Paris.
