Boarding at Wesley College is a unique experience
Living in the heart of one of Ireland’s premier schools, Wesley boarding pupils have access to an exceptional range of academic subject options and to unrivalled home-from-home accommodation and personal support.
Boarders at Wesley live in two or three bedroom units with access to all of the facilities on our 25-hectare campus. An exceptional extra-curricular programme provides a healthy balance to academic classes. And with 25 members of staff living on-site, our personal support for our boarder pupils is unique.
Our aim is to provide a home for boarders, right in the heart of our school, allowing pupils to belong to a vibrant Wesley community.

Extra-Curricular Opportunity
The Wesley Extra-Curricular Programme provides boarders with activity both before school and after classes end at 4pm.
We believe that exercise and alternatives to academic work provide the right balance for young people, to give an all-round education that is vital in today’s world. Personal Support
In Wesley, there is exceptional adult and peer support.
Limited to a maximum of 120 boarders, we aim to provide a personal and friendly home environment. In addition to nursing care, and the care from our Heads of Houses, we provide Chaplain and Guidance support for all our students.
Our Houses
Our boarders sleep in three or four bed units and have access to wi-fi, kitchen and social areas.
Study each evening is supervised in small groups, guaranteeing the best academic standards.
Boarding Options
Wesley College offers 7 and 5-Day Boarding options.
Students are welcome to stay at weekends to study and to experience additional fun and cultural activity. At Wesley, we understand that ‘down time’ is vital in this busy world.

Boarders in Wesley College strive for academic excellence and in the process discover a community where learning, as well as personal growth, continues long after the school day has ended. Friendships flourish and life is treasured by our alumni for many years to come.
The majority of boarders in Wesley College are Irish with some 5 day students from nearby counties. Families who have relocated abroad choose the 7 day option at Wesley to provide a strong Irish education in an atmosphere where they can be confident that every student is encouraged and challenged to be the very best they can be. Boarding in Wesley nurtures independence in a safe, caring and happy environment. Our students arrive at University prepared and equipped for autonomous study, able to demonstrate life skills that come from living and learning with their peers.
Our Campus in South Dublin
Wesley College is situated on a 25 Hectare site in South Dublin.
Only 30 minutes from Dublin International Airport, we also attract boarders from across the globe. They want to learn from teachers who are passionate about their subjects as well as taking advantage of the huge range of extra-curricular activities we have on offer.
Our Accommodation
Right in the centre of Wesley College, Epworth and Embury Houses accommodate our female and male boarders.
Spacious and modern bedrooms are provided for a maximum of 4 students, with senior boarders in large, comfortable rooms of 2 where possible. Our experienced and friendly boarding staff also reside here, delivering exceptional care and attention to all our students.

Evenings and Weekends
Evening study is offered 5 nights per week, providing supervised homework and study time, along with the opportunity for peer learning that only boarding can provide.
Our Transition Year students are offered a lively programme specifically tailored to this academic year, allowing time for study as well as opportunity to pursue new skills and activities in the evenings as well as community and charitable involvement.
Our weekend programme makes the most of our unique location, encompassing visits to places of interest in Dublin city centre (15 minutes away by tram), as well as the beauty of the Wicklow countryside and coastline. After sporting fixtures on Saturday mornings, boarders can choose to visit Dundrum Town Centre for shopping and leisure interests just a 5-minute walk away.
