  • Wednesday 11 May 2022 1969 Concern Fundraiser - past pupils visit This morning, we were delighted to welcome back 5 former Wesley pupils to the campus. We were treated to a special whole-school assembly, where Emeritus Professor Stephen Daly addressed the whole school, telling the story of the group's 1969 Fundraiser in aid of Concern.

  • Wednesday 9 March 2022 Ready, Steady, Cook! Our Ready Steady Cook competition returned last week and it was a great afternoon of baking and creativity.
  • Monday 7 March 2022 Using our Online Library Catalogue Our library catalogue moved online in November 2021. This means that members of the Wesley College community can see what we have in our collection from anywhere – here in the library, in class, from their dormitories, at home – or from anywhere in the world.
  • Monday 7 March 2022 Ukraine Fundraising Wesley College is aiming to raise funds to assist in the humanitarian efforts of the Irish Red Cross as they work to help the people of Ukraine. We are looking for the support of the Wesley community in our efforts. Parents have been sent a letter outlining how these funds can be collected.

  • Friday 11 February 2022 Book Week Wesley College Book Week took place from 17th to 21st January. It was hosted by the English Department with the School Library and saw events taking place across the school. Each year group had different activities oraganised for them, and there were prizes for all sorts of book-themed events and contests. The English Department organised a Book Swap Shop in the main concourse of the school. This proved extremely popular with students and staff alike. It was officially open for the second half of lunchtimes on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, but the books were left out every day for people to browse and help themselves. The Wesley community doanated extremely high-quality books, which definitely contributed to the success of the shop. All week, students were asked to have a novel in their schoolbags, and teachers of all subjects gave time for reading in class. This meant that the library was buzzing with visiitors all week long.   • Wednesday 9 February 2022 PTA Coffee Morning The PTA would like to invite you to a (second) coffee morning on the Wesley Campus on Saturday 12th February at 10:30am. We will meet in the same location as we did last September - The Millennium Garden, just behind the Administration Building. This is a nice opportunity to meet other parents and we hope that you will be able to come. If the weather isn't so good, we'll still meet in the open spaces under the eaves of the Classroom Centre.

  • Monday 15 November 2021 Irish Institute of Music and Song - Senior Choir Trip The Senior Choir enjoyed an incredibly fun and productive weekend away last weekend, at the Irish Institute of Music and Song.
  • Tuesday 2 November 2021 Shine! With the wonderful Andy Armitage singing the lead vocals, the Wesley College Male Voice Choir, Orchestra and Band all came together to make a live recording of Take That’s ‘Shine’ for the end of the first school term.
  • Wednesday 20 October 2021 Darkness into Light Members of the Wesley Community joined together and braved the elements on Wednesday morning, for our first Darkness into Light walk, organised by the Wesley Action Group. Not even wet weather could dampen the spirits of the staff and students that joined the walk!
  • Friday 15 October 2021 Bulbs for Bees Well done to everyone who helped to plant an incredible 1,000 bulbs on Friday afternoon with Green Schools as part of Gaisce’s ‘Bulbs for Bees’ challenge.

  • Friday 14 May 2021 Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown Enterprise Final Congratulations to Siobhan Anikwe who was the winner yesterday of the Rathdown Dun Laoghaire Enterprise Showcase County Final. Her business presentation "Nourish Native" was the overall school winner. Alicia Osborne and Dan Carthy received a high merit for their business idea "Design your Stride". Well done to both sets of businesses and the great innovation they displayed.
  • Friday 14 May 2021 Business Innovation Award 2021 There were six sets of finalists for the annual Business Innovation Award Competition. After a difficult adjudication process, Mr Philip Robinson selected joint winners. Congratulations to Mya Adams and Emma Ruttle for their project 'Earth to Home' and Georgia Black and Hannah Bennett Murphy for their project 'Saoirse'. Also pictured above are Jamie Walsh, Dan Carthy, Alicia Osborne, Siobhan Anikwe and Brian Tonra. Congratulations to the 40 different business entries from 5th Year who all highlighted that they have a great future ahead.
  • Friday 14 May 2021 Bright Stars Awards 2021 Following the virtual mock interviews this year, twenty impressive students were short-listed and re-interviewed by Daniel Ellison of UpSwing Consultancy who selected our winners for the Bright Stars Award. Congratulations to overall winner, Robyn Burke-Mellon and runners-up, David Bosch and Sophie Ramphul. All of our shortlisted candidates showed great composure and confidence, having learned from their prior interview experience. Well done to all of those involved.
