Bullying Awareness Week 2019
Bullying Awareness Week kicked off this year with a number of thought-provoking assemblies on the theme of 'As I Am'. The Head Boy and Girl, with the help of the prefects interviewed a number of students, asking them to comment upon each other's qualities. This was to remind us of our unique identities and attributes. They followed this up with a moving assembly, where a selection of pupils and staff entered the Myles Hall dressed in costumes or sports gear which best highlighted their personalities and interests. Other speakers throughout the week, Monica Rowe, Stuart Wilson and our own staff members, Mr Derek Shaw and Ms Jessica Reynolds, all emphasised the need to be kinder to each other and accepting of our differences, whatever they may be. All in all, it has been a great reminder for us all to assert and celebrate who we are.
