Business Department Speakers

During March 2017, two parents of students in the school kindly gave up their time to meet 5^th and 6^th year Business classes. It proved to be a great success. We are very keen to get more parents involved to talk to Senior Cycle pupils about their entrepreneurial and business experience .  If you would be interested please contact the Business Department through the following mail address, brian.delany@staff.wesleycollege.ie.

Philip Robinson met with the 5^th Year pupils to discuss their Business Innovation projects.  This is a competition which is a part of the pupil’s Summer exams.  As individuals or groups, they develop a business idea and Philip agreed to meet 45 pupils in their project teams and mentor them on their business ideas.

Olive Casey, Human Resource Director in Amgen Ireland came in to talk to the 6^th Year Business students about her role in HRM and careers in this area.  She brought business from the classroom into the real world and gave a highly interesting and informative presentation.
