Congratulations to the Senior Choir!
The Wesley College Senior Choir took part in the 4 Part SATB Choir competition at the Interschools Music Festival on Friday, 4th March. They performed the piece 'Salmo 150' by Ernani Aguiar, and were awarded first place for their amazing performance!
The adjudicator, Michael Ball, praised the 'infectious metric lilt' of their performance, and the 'unanimity of intent across this very large and well-disciplined choir.'
The Senior Choir, along with their conductor Mr. Dungan, were awarded 1st place in their competition, and were presented with the William J. Watson Cup for their fantastic performance.
This was a particularly special performance for the Senior Choir, as well as for all of the other choirs that took part in the Festival, as it was their first Live Performance since the Interschools Music Festival 2020. They were delighted to be awarded first place, and to receive such encouraging feedback on their performance.
Congratulations to the Senior Choir, and all of the Choirs, Orchestras and Competitors who represented Wesley College at the Interschools Music Festival!
