Health Week 2018
It was a beautiful sunny day in Wesley College for the start of this year’s Health Week. The theme is 'Keep it Simple' which encourages students and staff to make small changes to improve or maintain their physical and mental health. Some junior and 6th Year students have creatively shared their ideas in their concourse to give us all some inspiration.
Ms Smith gave senior students some food for thought this morning as she spoke in assembly about the importance of exercise in her life and encouraged us all that it is never too late to take up something new. The students enjoyed using some of the sports equipment over the break time and were encouraged to get out and get active this week. The staff are also taking this challenge on as they are aiming to collaboratively reach 1 million steps by the end of the week. Ms Downes’ TY cookery group made a healthier and homemade version of their takeaway favourite- 'The Spice Bag'. This is only day one of Health Week...so we encourage you all to get involved this week and make one small change that can make a big difference.
