Senator Neale Richmond Visit
Wesley were delighted that Senator Neale Richmond was able to create time to join us on Wednesday 22nd of January for a discussion session. He spent forty minutes with a mix of Third Year, TY, and Fifth Year students, discussing the life of a politician, canvassing and pressing social issues. He then spent a further class with the TY Politics, Legal Studies and Fifth Year Politics and Society groups in the Gordon Wilson Library. The discussion session, skilfully led by Imogen Forrest, was probing, informed and of a quality and rigour that comfortably matched what can be seen in the broadcast media. Senator Richmond was able to stay for refreshments, where he took on board more queries and again demonstrated his calibre. It was a pleasure to have his company and insight.
