Senior Choir's Anuna Workshop
Senior Choir were put through their paces as Gaeilge last week when five members of the world-renowned vocal group Anúna visited Wesley for a vocal workshop. Now in its 30th year, this vocal ensemble has developed a unique choral sound through beautiful original compositions and arrangements of medieval and traditional music by their founder, Michael McGlynn, a former member of Wesley's Music Department. The tutors were very impressed by the Senior Choir's work-rate and an entire song was tackled and committed to memory within the two-hour session. The workshop leader, Lucy Champion, praised the engagement and focus of the group as well as their responsiveness to text and music throughout the workshop.
