Introduction

The Wesley College Parent Teacher Association aims to advance the education and welfare of pupils, promoting co-operation and communication between the management of the college, parents and staff. We also provide assistance with social and educational activities for the Wesley College community.

We represent the interests of parents of day and boarder pupils at the school and provide input to the formulation and implementation of school policies. All parents are members of the association, which is run by an elected committee. The operation of the association is governed by a constitution, which may be viewed and downloaded here:

The PTA is represented, through appointed committee members, on the Board of Governors' Buildings & Grounds Committee and on COMPASS (Co-operation of Minority Religion and Protestant Parent Associations (Post Primary). The association also nominates one member of the Board of Management.

The association is funded primarily through a contribution collected from parents through the college's normal fee invoicing. These funds, together with those raised through some of the activities which the PTA runs, are used in fulfilling the aims of the association.
