Commiserations to the SCT XV who lost 20-7 against Clongowes Wood in their last 16 tie of the Leinster Schools Senior Cup. A single score from Sam Illo and conversion from Adam Campion was not enough on the day. The boys can be very proud of their efforts on reaching this stage of the competition through the qualification in the Leinster League earlier in the season. A special thank you to our 6th year players who have represented the school with distinction over the past six seasons and to captain Jamie Kavanagh who has led the team superbly this year.
Good luck to the Senior Girls in the rescheduled final on Friday. They take on St. Andrew’s in Three Rock Rovers at 2:15, come out and show your support.
The show jumping team got the year off to a promising start at Broadmeadows Equestrian Centre in Ashbourne on Sunday morning.
Clear on faults in the first phase, lowered poles in the timed jump off meant they picked up points for third place. Well done to all the riders, Grace O’Donoghue, Suin Handley, Holly Duggan and Holly Micklem.
Congratulations to the U-14 A’s who beat Sutton in the 1st round of the Leinster Cup. The boys kept a clean sheet throughout and should be proud of their team performance.
The U-14 and U-13 B’s both lost out to Newpark A’s in their respective leagues, 3-1 and 4-0. The U-13 C’s played some lovely hockey but unfortunately couldn’t capitalise on their chances, losing 1-0 to Sandford A’s last week. The U-14 C’s beat Sandford A’s 1-0 making it 2 wins from 3 in their league to date.
