Bullying Awareness Week

Bullying Awareness Week

Next week is Bullying Awareness Week and the theme for this year is 'It's OUR responsibility'.
Today, we are launching our competition which is open to all students from preps to 6th year and there will be both Junior and Senior cash prizes. We are asking you to submit a Creative Response to the theme 'It's OUR responsibility'- it can be a poem, a song, a short story, a photograph or poster...whatever you want, just get creative and give it a go. Entries are to be submitted to www.wesleycollege.ie/baw by Thursday 13th October. If you have any further questions, please contact Mr. O'Rourke or Ms Downes.

The Bullying Awareness Week Committee would like to thank all entrants to the recent competition on the theme of ‘Better Together’. The committee was blown away by the volume of entries along with the high standard, incredible creativity and attention to detail in the responses to the theme. Well done to everyone who entered and we are pleased to announce the following winners:

Highly commended:

  • Ryan Jones - Sketch
  • Evelyn Arheit – painting

2nd Place

  • Alice Gardiner – beautiful painting of two friends on a swing

1st Place

  • Eva Wang – Eva produced a fabulous stop motion style animation where she shows us that we are better together and that it is always a good idea to open our door to others. Her subtle use of the Wesley colours and an inter-twinned love heart tied in really well with her concept. Well done Eva!
